In his office, Steven writes an E-mail to a colleague: From: drstevengraham@unitedpsychiatry.org To: drrobertmason@unitedpsychiatry.org Reason: Annie Hi, Bob. I hesitate to write, but I’m worried that Annie might be on the verge (or in the MIDDLE of)… A message comes in from the cemetery with information concerning the desecration claim, with two photos of Ellen’s exhumed grave.

Peter walks slowly down the hall at school when a colorful light comes down the hall, passes him, and fades through a door. His teacher looks through the window of the door and creepily waves at him. Inferring, the teacher may be part of the cult.

In class, Peter hears a tongue click. It begins to get louder and louder. Then suddenly, as if he was controlled like a marionette, his arm shoots upward with his hand descending outward. One eye and the corner of his lip is pulled upward in a grotesque manner. He slams his head onto the desk twice, breaking his nose. He falls out of the chair and screams sitting on the floor.

Annie goes up into the attic, which is full of flies and discovers her mother’s burned headless body. She stands under the tree house waiting for Steven holding the photo album and misses the call from Peters school.

Steven stares at Peter in the rear view mirror passed out in the backseat. This is a call back to when Peter was staring at Charlie at in the rear view on the night of her death. Only Peter’s face is visible in the mirror, just as Charlies was. Steven breaks down crying. As Steven pulls into the driveway, Annie flips out seeing Peter in the backseat. Another callback to when she discovered Charlies body. They take Peter inside the house and put him to bed.

Annie tells Steven to go up into the attic and see her mother’s body for himself. Annie lights a fire in the fire place. Steven screams and comes down from the attic. She tries to explain that somehow they made a pact with something when they performed the seance. She tries to show Steven the album and the drawing pad with Peter’s face sketched on the pages. He is only convinced that she is insane and he accuses her of digging up Ellen’s grave. She begs him to burn the sketch pad. At first he relents and walks toward the fireplace , then turns back and tells Annie she is sick and needs help. Willing to sacrifice herself, Annie grabs the pad and tosses it into the fireplace. Immediately, Steven bursts into flames. Annie has a horrified look on her face, a light enters her and she smiles as Steven continues to burn.
A shot of the house in the day suddenly turns into night with naked cult members surrounding the house.

Peter awakens to see a red glowing light from the treehouse. Annie hovers in the corner of the ceiling staring down at Peter. A proximity light comes on indicating that someone is walking around outside. Peter turns his head and begins to look up toward Annie. She flies out of the room without making a sound.

Peter walks out of his room and steps into the hall. He hears a ‘Clang.’ Probably, the cultist going into the attic. He closes the door to Ellen’s room and goes down stairs where the piano, the bench, and chairs are all flipped over. He discovers his fathers burned body. Up in the corner of the ceiling, Annie is hanging onto a beam staring down at him. He hears footsteps behind him. He slowly turns around to see the same smiling man from Ellen’s wake, giving him that same twisted smile he gave Charlie, standing naked in the closet doorway.

Annie drops from the ceiling and hides in the corner. Peter looks over and she rushes toward him with a growl. She chases him upstairs and Peter climbs up the ladder to attic. He quickly locks the door. Annie is upside down on the ceiling rapidly bashing her head on the attic door. He pleads with her saying, “I’m sorry Mommy.” In an almost child like manner.

Peter is secretly being watched by three naked cult members as he finds his picture with his eyes missing in the spot where Ellen’s body was on the floor. He hears the sound of ripping flesh and slowly looks up to see Annie sawing through her neck with a piano wire. The naked cult members step forward frightening Peter and he dives head first out the window. The cutting flesh increases and the sound of Annie’s head hits the floor. Paimon has now been released from Annie.

Peter lies motionless on the ground as the shadow of Annie’s body soars over him. A small glowing ball of light enters Peters body. Peter awakens to see his mother’s headless body ascend into the tree house. He slowly stands and clicks his tongue, signalling that Paimon has successfully entered his body. Peter begins to walk toward the tree house as naked cult members watch him. He climbs the ladder and enters the tree house where more naked cult members are bowing toward a statue with Charlie’s head attached. On the wall is a picture of Ellen with the words “Queen Leigh.”

Ellen and Annie’s headless bodies are both prostrate in front of the statue. This is a call back to when Annie was on her hands knees crying over Charlie’s death. He stares straight ahead, the same way he did when Charlie was decapitated, as Joan takes the crown off of Charlie’s head and places it on Peters. He looks down and sees that Ellen and Annie are now bowing in his direction.

Joan explains to Peter what is happening. She calls him Charlie, and tells him he is now Paimon, one of the eight kings of hell. “We have looked to the Northwest and called you in. We’ve corrected your first female body and given you now this healthy male host. We reject the Trinity and pray devoutly to you King Paimon. Give us your knowledge of all secret things. Bring us honor, wealth, and good familiars. Bind all man to our will, as we have bound ourselves now to yours…Hail Paimon.” The cult repeats the praise as Peter continues to stare ahead while the scene turns into a diorama.
